Why is this study being done?
Our study aims to learn more about the potential for e-cigarettes to reduce menthol cigarette smoking and their effects on measures of harm and addiction.

You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Age 21+
  • Identify as Black/African American
  • Smoke menthol cigarettes
  • Willing try an e-cigarette for smoking reduction
What will happen if I participate in this study?
Participants should be be willing to complete four in-person visits at the study site, answer phone calls/text messages/online surveys, and receive an e-cigarette for 6 weeks.
Will I be paid for being in this research study?
Compensation up to $654 is provided for participation in a study. Payments vary by visit with in-person visits averaging about $100.
Will it cost me anything to participate in this study?
There are no additional costs for you to participate in our research program.
