What makes people want to eat certain foods?
Foods we have access to or eat often go through different degrees of processing, cooking, or packaging. The tastes, textures, smells, or memories we have of these different types of foods can make us want them more or less. It is important to understand how people respond to these different foods.
This survey will investigate how people perceive foods that have gone through different levels of processing. Understanding how Oklahomans make choices about the food they eat could lead to better programs to improve public health.

This study aims to better understand how individuals perceive foods that have gone through different levels of processing.
You may qualify to participate in this study if you meet the following criteria.
Key criteria:
Key criteria:
- 18-65 years old
- Live in Oklahoma
- Not experiencing a medical condition that alters how food tastes or has changed your food preferences
The study will involve two online surveys that take about 15-20 minutes to complete altogether. There is also an optional 15-minute phone interview that asks you more detailed questions about the food you eat.
If you complete the online surveys/instruments, you will receive a $30 gift card. If you do the optional telephone interview, you will receive another $15 gift card.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research program.
