Rapid, medically-managed detoxification in a supported environment

Our goal is to find better treatments for people with opioid addiction. We are specifically interested in helping people detox more effectively, safely, and rapidly.
You may qualify to participate in this study if you meet the following criteria.

- 18+ years old
- Interested in inpatient medically-managed detoxification in a supported environment
- Not currently receiving Methadone or Suboxone maintenance treatment
This trial involves an inpatient medically-managed detoxification in a supportive environment. Alongside receiving the traditional medicines used during detoxification you will also receive innovative, investigative medicines that may help with the process. While these medications have other uses, they are only now being examined for their role in treating opioid use disorders.
After completing detoxification and transitioning to Vivitrol®, you will continue to meet with our team two times per week for 12 weeks. You’ll receive support and guidance throughout the treatment research process from trained professionals who care about you and want to see you succeed. Visits involve individual psychotherapy sessions, meeting with a study physician, and monthly Vivitrol shots. We then help you transition to a community provider for ongoing support.
