First, if you agree to participate in our study, you will complete the first part of this study remotely. We'll ask you to fill out 2-3 surveys, and we will do a clinical interview over Zoom. This part of the study will take about 2 to 3 hours.
On the first in-person day, you will complete a balance test, questionnaires, cognitive tests, and an fMRI scan. You will be asked to undergo a urine screen to make sure you do not have substances in your body that could affect the results of the study. The MRI scan will last about an hour and a half.
If this assessment indicates that you are eligible for the study, you will be scheduled to return to a second in-person day to complete the rest of the study. The second visit will last two or three hours. You will be asked to rest quietly during MRI scanning and participate in an eye blink experiment.
All study procedures will take place at a laboratory inside the IU Department of
Psychological and Brain Sciences.
