We are looking for volunteers who have had headaches, facial pain, and/or jaw pain to participate in our research study!

Our study is being done to investigate the mechanisms of virtual reality in alleviating experience of pain.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

- 18+ years of age
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Have had headaches, facial pain, and/or jaw pain recently
- No past or present substance use disorder
Once enrolled this study includes:
- One/two in-person session(s) at the School of Nursing, University of Maryland, Baltimore
- During this study, you will experience VR while receiving painful stimulations. We will assess your level of pain intensity and discomfort
- Potential (remote) follow-up study session
Study participants will be compensated for their time. Parking vouchers are provided. In certain cases travel expenses may be reimbursed.
There is no cost for you to participate in our research program.
